Your New Favourite Biblical Fiction Writer
Hi, I’m Tracey…
I'm a writer, wife, Mum, Step-Mum, Grandma and Godmother, who is deeply grounded in my Christian faith. My relationship with God has shaped decades of leading Bible study groups, writing teaching resources, and encouraging believers around the world. Now, that same passionate calling fuels my mission to bring Scripture to life through storytelling.
The seed for my first novel was planted during Auckland, New Zealand’s Covid lockdown, when a prayerful study of Genesis with a close friend unearthed something surprising. As we slowed down and lingered over the Hebrew text, we discovered hidden layers of meaning and began to see the often misunderstood characters with fresh compassion. We stopped judging their motives and started recognising their humanity - their struggles, hopes, and faith - and how their stories still speak into our own.
My path to writing began in the courtroom, where my ability to research, analyse, strategise, and build compelling cases as a litigation lawyer, provided me with the skills needed to craft Biblical stories that honour the Word while exploring its emotional depth and human complexity.
My journey has taken me through love, loss, and the sunshine that follows rain, into the deep end of a blended family, across the lands of the Bible, and into the shadowed valley of chronic illness. I’ve floated at the lowest place on earth, been immersed in the Jordan River, ridden astride a camel up Mount Sinai, and stood where Moses, Joshua, and Elijah met with God. Through it all, God has refined my voice and deepened my calling to write.
My debut novel, Rachel, Beloved of Israel, is the first in the Beloved Series - a story of love and betrayal, of faith tested and matured through suffering. It’s a story where people just like us are changed in extraordinary ways, fulfilling God’s purpose in the most unlikely circumstances.
I’d love for you to journey with me through these timeless stories - where you just might see echoes of your own.
