Your New Favourite Biblical Author
Hi, I’m Tracey…
a writer, wife, mum, step-mum, grandma, and Godmother, who is deeply grounded in faith. My relationship with God has inspired not only my years of leading Bible study groups and writing teaching resources for our church, reaching believers across New Zealand, but also my passion for bringing Scripture to life through storytelling. During the eerie stillness of NZ’s COVID lockdown, a prayerful study of Genesis with a close friend, sparked a longing in me to share the deeper humanity we discovered there - the struggles, hopes, and faith of the well-known and often misjudged characters - revealing how their struggles continue to speak to our lives today.
My path to writing biblical fiction began in the courtroom, where I honed my ability to analyse details, research, seek truth, and build a compelling narrative as a litigation lawyer - skills that help me delve deep into Scripture and bring forth stories that are both authentic and spiritually meaningful.
Life has taken me on extraordinary journeys, through biblical lands, into the heart of a blended family, and through the daily battles of chronic illness. I've stood at the lowest place on earth, been baptised in the Jordan River, and even ridden a camel up the mountain where only Moses and Joshua were permitted to stand and where Elijah found refuge. These moments have shaped my voice as a writer.
My debut novel, Rachel, Beloved of Israel, is the first book in the Beloved Series. It’s a story of love, betrayal, and tested faith that matures through suffering. Through Rachel’s journey, I explore how the most unexpected circumstances serve as the backdrop for God’s unwavering promises, shaping the lives of those involved and fulfilling His purpose in ways they could never have imagined.
Join me as we explore these timeless stories where you’ll find reflections of your own and glimpses of God's promise keeping character in every chapter.
